MYTH-24. MANAGEMENTS ARE NOT REALLY IMPORTANT FOR AN INVESTOR

1. No company can escape the quality of their management.
2. Passion and integrity are two of the most important things to look out for in a company.
3. The passion for their business will ensure that managers will breathe, sleep and live for the company.
4. They need to be able to work well with others and the ability to get people to do what is desired from them.
5. Intelligence, energy, integrity - if you don’t have the last one, the first two will kill you, as all you will have is a crook who works hard.
6. The primary responsibility of every manager is to allocate capital effectively, and how the manager uses the company’s retained earnings or new funds will determine how far the company can go.
7. There are two ways to asses a management:
a) How have their results been?
b) How do they treat their company's shareholders?
